Vol. 500 No. 4

Written Answers. - Irish Aviation Authority.

Willie Penrose

Question:

160 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she will ascertain from the Irish Aviation Authority if it received correspondence from the Department of Foreign Affairs on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the steps, if any, taken by the authority to deal with the matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4036/99]

I understand that the Irish Aviation Authority has no record of receipt of correspondence from the Department of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the person concerned. The Department of Foreign Affairs did not keep a copy of the latter it received from the person concerned, having established that the matter was within the remit of the authority. If the person concerned wishes to make contact directly with the authority, I understand that they would be glad to deal with the matter promptly.
