123 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the number of licences granted under section 3 of the Foreshore Act, 1933; the location for which the licences were granted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5058/99]
I am required by section 20 of the Foreshore Act, 1933, to lay before both Houses of the Oireachtas annually a statement detailing all leases and licences granted under the Act in the previous financial year.
Such statements include the particulars, terms and date of each lease or licence granted. The name of the licensee/leasee and fees charged are also recorded. These statements are placed in the Oireachtas Library and are available for scrutiny. The statement for the financial year ending the 31 December 1998 is currently at an advanced stage of preparation and will shortly be transmitted to the Clerks of the Dáil and Seanad.
