Vol. 501 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

John McGuinness

Question:

147 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the fact that all development in areas (details supplied) in County Kilkenny is now at a standstill due to the lack of proper sewerage scheme for the area; if his Department will consider a special allocation in 1999 to start the schemes that are at construction stage and introduce a fast-track system to bring the other schemes to construction stage; if his Department's attention has been drawn to the concerns of the fishery board in relation to this issue and possibility of pollution; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5368/99]

There are no proposals with my Department for a sewerage scheme at Castlecomer. In relation to the remaining schemes, I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 648, 649, 650, 733, 739 and 740 of 27 January 1999.
