Written Answers. - Work Permits.

Paul McGrath

Question:

335 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the fact that jobs are available in many areas to refugees in receipt of payments from the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs; if he has discussed with other relevant Government Departments the possibility of work visas being made available to them; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5744/99]

Non-nationals who are granted refugee status do not require work permits to take up employment in this country.
