Vol. 501 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Jack Wall

Question:

98 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have an investigation made into the situation of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare seeking an early appointment for a replacement knee operation. [6395/99]

The provision of orthopaedic treatment in this case, in the first instance, is the responsibility of the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Dublin, incorporating the National Children's Hospital.

I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this case and reply directly to the Deputy.
