I propose to take Questions Nos. 169, 170, 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177, 178, 179, 180, 181 and 182 together.
My priority at present is to ensure that the remedial teacher service is extended to all schools which are currently without a service. My Department is arranging this extension of service which will come into effect from September next.
Of the schools mentioned by the Deputy, I understand that Tullow boys national school; Tullow girls national school; Conahy national school, Ballyragget boys national school; and Ballyragget girls national school, already have access to a remedial service. The needs of these schools will be considered in the event of additional resources becoming available to improve existing remedial services.
The remaining schools mentioned by the Deputy will be included in the extension of the remedial service from September next.
