Vol. 501 No. 6

Written Answers. - Home-School Liaison Scheme.

Michael Ring

Question:

411 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when a home-school liaison officer will be appointed to Moyne college, Ballina, County Mayo. [6799/99]

The home-school-community liaison scheme was introduced to schools that were designated as serving areas of disadvantage. As part of the recently announced £57 million two year funding initiative to tackle educational disadvantage, I indicated that every disadvantaged school will have a home-school-community liaison service available to it from September next. This includes Moyne college.
