Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - Family Support Services.

Liz McManus

Question:

358 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he is satisfied that the family centre run by the ISPCC in Monaghan town is functioning at full capacity in view of the funding provided to it by the health board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7959/99]

The North-Eastern Health Board grant aids the ISPCC to the extent of £51,000 in a given year as a contribution to the cost of the provision of services by the society in the board's functional area. The services in question are based in Drogheda, Dundalk and in Monaghan town where a family centre is located. The ISPCC provides the board with a detailed annual report and I understand that the board is satisfied with the services provided.

The board reviews all its child care and family support grants annually.
