Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Jackie Healy-Rae

Question:

629 Mr. Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Education and Science when the fuel rebate will be paid to private bus owners for school transport; and the drivers who are entitled to full back payment including interest and compensation from 1974. [8006/99]

Fuel rebates are a matter for the Revenue Commissioners rather than my Department. It is up to each individual operator to apply for a fuel rebate on the services they provide.

Any inquiries in this regard should be directed to the operator's local excise officer.
