Vol. 502 No. 5

Written Answers. - Land Annuities.

John Perry

Question:

59 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the amount due on a Land Commission demand notice will be reduced for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8658/99]

As the annuity payable by the person named has already been reduced from £1,692 to £1,128 in May 1993, it is not proposed to give any further reduction in this case. At present he owes £1,128, which is two instalments of £564 which were due at May and November 1998. If he contacts collection branch of the Land Commission at Michael Davitt House, Castlebar, County Mayo, they are prepared to come to an arrangement whereby he will get some time to pay the amount due.
