Question:553 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in the publication of the Youth Work (Amendment) Bill; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9695/99]
Written Answers. - Youth Work (Amendment) Bill.
Government approval has been given to proceed with the drafting of the Youth Work Bill and the draft heads of the Bill have been forwarded to the Parliamentary Draftsman's office.
It is envisaged that the Bill will be published by mid-1999. There is no undue delay in this matter as the Bill is being prepared having regard to the Government's legislative priorities and programme.
