135 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a request from Kerry County VEC to lease the old vocational school in Rathmore (details supplied); if he will facilitate this request; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10596/99]
An application for the sale of the property referred to by the Deputy has been received and is receiving consideration in my Department. Before a decision is made, it is necessary to establish if the site will be required for future education provision in the area. I expect to have the necessary information to enable me make a decision in the matter shortly.
