182 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of moneys allocated by his Department and the National Roads Authority for each of the years since 1993 for the upgrading of national and regional roads, proposed new roads and the northern motorway; the amount allocated for the county road network; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10664/99]

The amount of money made available to the National Roads Authority for national road improvements in the years 1993-99 is as follows:

The allocation of grants to individual road projects is a matter for the National Roads Authority.
Details of non-national roads grant payments for the years 1993-6, inclusive, are contained in the booklet State Grant Payments to Local Authorities for National, Non-National and Non-Public Accommodation Roads and own resources expenditure by Local Authorities on National and Non-National Roads in the period 1989-97 which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
