69 Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach the number of non-EU countries exporting food or food products into Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11174/99]

The latest month for which information is available is November 1998. A total of 78 non-EU countries exported food and food products to Ireland in 1997, with a total value of £110.6 million. The following table gives details on the value of imports from non-EU countries in the year 1997 and for the 11 month period January-November 1998.
