93 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if the investigation by the Revenue Commissioners into a transaction (details supplied) has been completed; if so, the outcome of the investigation; if evidence of tax evasion was found; the action, if any, being taken; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that Customs and Excise Officers are involved in an investigation in relation to the matter mentioned by the Deputy. Aspects of the matter are currently before the courts. Revenue's investigation is ongoing and the further action to be taken will depend on the outcome of this investigation. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage.
