Vol. 504 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Liam Aylward

Question:

89 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if an allowance towards travelling expenses will be made available on medical grounds to the parents of a person (details supplied) attending a special school in Kilkenny. [11221/99]

The issue raised by the Deputy has not previously been brought to my Department's attention.

I have asked my officials to investigate this matter and to make contact with the child's parents and the school which the child is attending. The provision of a transport grant to the child's parents will be considered as part of this process.
