Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Seán Power

Question:

336 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress made in relation to the provision of a new Gaelscoil in the Curragh, County Kildare. [11670/99]

My Department has been investigating the suitability of a site at Lumville, the Curragh for use as a permanent location for Gaelscoil Chill Dara.

The Department of Defence, the owners of the site, has indicated that it is not in a position to provide access. My Department has advised the school authorities of this and has requested them to inquire locally regarding alternative access to the site. When the question of site access has been resolved, the matter can be advanced further.
