The legislative priority of my Department for 1999 is the publishing of the Bill to place the National Economic and Social Council and the National Economic and Social Forum on a statutory footing. The heads have been approved by the Government and are at present with the Parliamentary Draftsman's office for drafting. It is anticipated that the Bill will be published in late 1999.
