Vol. 504 No. 2

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

55 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the poor and inadequate conditions in Finglas Garda station, Dublin 11; the proposals, if any, he has to provide proper accommodation for the gardaí and the public in this major urban centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11565/99]

I am not aware of any major criticism of the standard of accommodation and facilities provided at the Garda station in Finglas. On the contrary, I am informed by Garda management that the existing accommodation at Finglas Garda station is considered adequate and there are no plans for refurbishment, extension or replacement.
