Vol. 504 No. 3

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 21 and name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Theresa Ahearn – the dilapidated and totally unacceptable condition of Golden Garda station in County Tipperary; (2) Deputy Deasy – the need to add the boatcove at Ardmore, County Waterford, to the list of harbours which are to be financed under the 1999 small harbours programme; (3) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to put in place measures to address the crime of joyriding which has resulted in another death over the bank holiday weekend; (4) Deputy Keaveney – the need for regulations to deal with visibility of traffic islands in the context of urban and village renewal and in the interest of safety; and (5) Deputy Shortall – the circumstances surrounding the introduction of section 19 of the Finance Act, 1994.

The matters raised by the Deputies Deasy, Shortall, Theresa Ahearn and Broughan have been selected for discussion.
