Vol. 504 No. 3

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Michael Ring

Question:

69 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo cannot get a modern, lighter, artificial limb; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11845/99]

The supply of artificial limbs to eligible persons is a matter for the relevant health board. I have, therefore, referred the Deputy's inquiry to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board with a request that he look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
