70 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for his cataract operation in view of the fact that his condition has seriously deteriorated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11846/99]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons living in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North Western Health Board to investigate this case and to reply directly to the Deputy concerned as a matter of urgency.
