Vol. 504 No. 5

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Ulick Burke

Question:

159 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will appoint a remedial teacher to Cappataggle national school, Ballinasloe, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12307/99]

I am pleased to advise the Government's priority at present with regard to the remedial teaching service is to ensure that all schools, including Cappataggle primary school, which currently have no remedial service will be given access to such a service from September next.

Arrangements are currently being made in my Department to put this extension of the remedial service in place.
