59 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give details of experiments for drug testing conducted on children in Irish orphanages by a company (details supplied) outlined in the RTÉ programme, "States of Fear". [12481/99]
This matter relates to reports of studies concerning vaccinations administered to children in a number of orphanages in the 1960s and 1970s and about which I have already answered a number of questions in the House over the past two years.
In those replies, I indicated that I had instituted inquiries into the reports with a view to establishing as much information as possible in relation thereto. A report on these inquiries is now at an advanced state of preparation and I hope to be in a position to report back to the House on the matter at an early date.
