Vol. 504 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Phil Hogan

Question:

76 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science when a remedial teacher will be provided to assist the children at Lisnafunchion national school, County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12484/99]

The Government's priority at present with regard to the remedial teaching service is to ensure that all schools, including Lisnafunchion primary school, which currently have no remedial service will be given access to such a service from September next. Arrangements are currently being made in my Department to put this extension of the remedial service in place.
