A REP scheme application was originally submitted on 14 May 1998. However, before the application could be processed by my Department the applicants REPS planner contacted the farm development service office dealing with the application and asked them not to proceed with the processing of the application.
A new application was lodged on 23 November 1998 but was returned to the applicant as the application contained commonage land. Subsequent to July 1998 applications containing commonage land could not be processed pending the availability of commonage framework plans and revised REPS specifications. The recently published revised agri-environmental specifications and revised plan format allow for the acceptance of applications in these areas.
The person in question should submit a plan in the revised format in order to participate in the REP scheme.
