Question:172 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a REP scheme grant. [12883/99]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
The person concerned lodged a fifth year application under the REP scheme on 19 March 1999. He was chosen at random for a compliance inspection. The inspection took place on 5 May 1999. The applicant incurred penalties totalling 30 per cent. My Department has written to the applicant informing him of the penalties and affording him the opportunity to appeal. To date no appeal has been lodged. Payment will issue in the near future.
