Pat Carey

Question:

242 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if a psychologist will be employed at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, to deal with a waiting list of approximately 85 patients some of whom have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12956/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 205, 221, 229, and 242 together.

I understand from the hospital authorities at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children that it is the hospital's intention to appoint an additional psychologist in a temporary capacity and it is currently organising a recruitment campaign for this post. The hospital authorities hope to be in a position to appoint a suitably qualified candidate in the near future.
