322 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the state of readiness of his Department with regard to the year 2000 computer issue; if he will report on the position in relation to hardware and software; if a statement of compliance of readiness has been issued; if not, if and when such a statement will be issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has replaced all non-year 2000 compliant hardware and software, and final re-testing of all equipment is presently being undertaken. The Department has a year 2000 monitoring committee, which has advised me that this work is expected to be completed by mid-year. When full year 2000 compliance has been achieved, the Government's year 2000 monitoring committee will be advised accordingly.
