Vol. 505 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Pat Carey

Question:

107 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if the principal and board of management of St. Brigid's national school, Glasnevin, Dublin 11, were correct in their understanding that the local inspector was to make a recommendation to his Department that a shared resource post be set up between this school and St. John Bosco national school, Navan Road, on a pro-ratio basis (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14670/99]

I understand that the local school inspector has been examining the case for allocating a resource teacher post on a shared basis between the two schools mentioned by the Deputy.

The inspector's recommendation in this matter is currently awaited. Once the inspector's report is received, the school will be advised of the outcome and any necessary resource allocations will be made.
