414 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science the schemes through which youth clubs and organisations received assistance through his Department; the organisations and bodies which received assistance in the past 12 months; the amount and nature of assistance to each body; the plans, if any, he has to further develop the youth services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Details of allocations made by the youth affairs section in 1998 are published in the annual appropriation accounts and I am arranging for these details to be forwarded to the Deputy. The 1999 allocations are being finalised at present. It is my intention that further allocations will be made later in the year, which will include measures for the further development of the youth services.
In addition, I have asked the National Youth Work advisory committee to undertake the preparation of a comprehensive plan for submission to me on the future development of the youth service provision in Ireland.
