Vol. 506 No. 5

Written Answers. - Mount Congreve Trust.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

133 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance if he will publish in full the Mount Congreve Trust deed and all agreements relating to it. [15957/99]

The Mount Congreve Trust arrangements are enshrined in three legal deeds, viz. Settlement Deed dated 8 August 1979 – the main trust document which provides for the period of the trust and also outlines the conditions under which the trust is to operate; Vesting Deed dated 8 August 1979 – by this deed the property comprising Mount Congreve House and approximately 71 acres was transferred to the Mount Congreve Trust; Deed of Appointment dated 16 November 1979 – this deed appointed the Commissioners of Public Works as a trustee of the settlement in addition to the original trustees.

Copies of these documents are now being placed in the Library of the Oireachtas. They have, of course, been freely available to persons in the locality who may have asked for sight of them. Certain personal information relating to the settlor and other private individuals, which in no way affects the operation of the trust, has been blanked out.
