271 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a request from St. Brigid's boys national school, Foxrock, Dublin 18, and St. Brigid's girls national school, Cabinteely, for the provision of a resource teacher; if so, the consideration, if any, he has given to this request; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received an application for a resource teacher post from the schools in question.

The case put forward by the schools is currently being considered by my Department's inspectorate. The schools will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
