235 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education and Science if a resource teacher or a special needs assistant will be allocated to Bweeng national school, Mallow, County Cork, where a pupil due to commence school in September 1999 will require these services. [17076/99]

I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate the needs of the pupil in question with a view to putting any necessary support services in place as speedily as possible.
