Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Liam Aylward

Question:

389 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance if a refund of income tax will be arranged for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if this person is in receipt of his correct tax free allowances. [17928/99]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a refund of income tax from the taxpayer. The inspector has sent the appropriate form to the taxpayer to enable him to make a claim. When the completed form and necessary supporting documentation are returned to the inspector, he will review the taxpayer's liability and many any refund that may be due.

The information available to the inspector indicates that the taxpayer's tax-free allowances are correct.
