233 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 291 of 29 June 1999 in relation to incremental credit for teaching service, he will arrange to have the circumstance (details supplied) re-examined. [19236/99]

The case referred to by the Deputy is being re-examined. In that context it is necessary for my Department to clarify certain details with the education authorities in Northern Ireland.

The Deputy will be advised of the position by my Department in the near future.
