245 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will renew the provision of support teaching hours to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 16 in view of the fact that the support which he received in the final term of last year was very beneficial to his academic and social development; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The school authorities recently submitted an application for additional teaching resources to cater for the needs of the person in question. The matter has been referred to the psychological services for a report.

As soon as the report has been received and considered my Department will advise the school authorities and the Deputy of the decision.
