244 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason an architect has not surveyed a dry rot problem at St. Attracta's national school, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon; when the architect will carry out the survey; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19247/99]

The board of management of St. Attracta's national school, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon, advised my Department of the presence of dry rot on 16 August 1999. An architectural survey will be carried out as soon as possible.

The board of management is aware of the position.
