101 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will have investigations made into the delay in dealing with an application from a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to plant his lands in forestry; and if he will expedite this application. [19289/99]

An application for an afforestation grant from the period in question cannot be traced in the forest section of my Department. An official from the forest service has been in touch with the applicant and arrangements have been made for a new application to be processed as a priority.
