165 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a 1999 sheep headage payment for a person (details supplied) will be made in view of the fact that he has a share of commonage rented in County Sligo for 11 months from 1 January 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person named has included commonage in his 1999 area aid application. All area aid applicants are required to provide proof of their entitlement to claim a commonage share. The herdowner has already been written to in this regard by the area aid unit. His application cannot be processed further until this proof is received.
