Vol. 509 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

John Perry

Question:

180 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) will be granted a transfer to Sligo in view of the fact that she has a young child; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19824/99]

The situation is that transfers for members of the grade concerned are arranged in accordance with a central transfer scheme agreed with the staff side at general council under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the Civil Service. Inquiries in the present case have been made of various Departments which have offices in Sligo. It appears that the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs is the most likely to be in a position, at a later stage, to consider the officer for transfer.
