179 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of a property in Dublin 6 sold by the Office of Public Works for £2,650.99 to a person (details supplied); the way in which the price was determined; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19619/99]

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Cullen)

The State held a leasehold interest in the property concerned. The property was sublet to the person concerned. The purchase price represented the value of the State's leasehold interest as determined by the Commissioner of Public Works' professional valuer.
