68 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress of the interdepartmental group on child care; if its report has been completed; if not, the outstanding issues to be resolved; and when he will publish its report. [19744/99]
The interdepartmental committee on child-care has reported to Government as requested. The Government has noted the report and has referred it for consideration to a ministerial group, which I am chairing. The group includes the Tánaiste and Ministers for Finance, Health and Children, Social, Community and Family Affairs and Education and Science.
The matter of publication of the report will not be decided until the ministerial group has reported back to Cabinet.
