270 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the development of the road from Waterford city to Waterford regional airport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20489/99]
Waterford Corporation has been allocated a grant of £500,000 for this road in 1999 under my Department's EU co-financed scheme of specific improvement grants for non-national roads. It will be a matter for the corporation and the county council to prioritise further sections of this road for assistance under this scheme which it is hoped to continue post 1999.
