Vol. 509 No. 4

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Appeals.

Michael Ring

Question:

288 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the final decision on her appeal for unemployment assistance following her oral hearing. [20399/99]

A claim by the person concerned to unemployment assistance was disallowed on the grounds that she was not available for work due to attending a full-time course. She appealed against this decision and, following an oral hearing on 28 September 1999, an appeals officer disallowed her appeal. She was notified of that decision in a letter which issued to her on 15 October 1999.
