Question:164 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Defence the situation in relation to civil apprenticeship training in the naval dockyard in Haulbowline; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20727/99]

It is proposed to award six apprenticeships – two fitters, two electricians and two plumbers – in the naval dockyard, Haulbowline. Preliminary interviews to select suitable candidates for those positions have already been completed. The final round of interviews is due to take place shortly.
