180 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if an application for participation in the early retirement scheme from farming by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath has been finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20469/99]

The person named applied for an early retirement pension on 7 July 1998. She has been deemed eligible and payment authorised back dated to 7 July 1998, the date of valid application. Payment with arrears will commence at the end of November 1999.
