Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Willie Penrose

Question:

308 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance when an application to the Revenue Commissioners for the repayment of tax deducted will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21737/99]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a refund of tax from the taxpayer. The inspector has sent the appropriate form to the taxpayer to enable him to make a claim. When the completed form and necessary supporting documentation are returned to the inspector, he will review the taxpayer's liability and make any refund that may be due.
