Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Child Care Services.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

377 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received an application for lottery funding from the Greater Blanchardstown Development Project for its proposed new child care facility; if so, the date received; the amount applied for; when a decision is expected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21578/99]

I would like to inform the Deputy that my Department received an application for a grant from the 1999 health and children allocation of national lottery funds from the Greater Blanchardstown Development Project on the 9 February 1999.

The organisation applied for a grant of £100,000 towards the cost of extending Parslickstown House.

This application is still under consideration for a grant from my Department. The organisation will be informed as soon as a decision has been made.
