Question:

97 Mr. Stanton asked the Taoiseach the number of work days lost to industrial disputes for the six months of 1999; the way in which this compares with the same period in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22037/99]

In the first six months of 1999 there were 28,191 days lost to industrial disputes compared to 20,896 for the same period in 1998.
